The Shamrock Shootout Girls Lacrosse tournament was developed to provide an opportunity for girls in the Mid-Atlantic region to participate in a fun and safe environment to further develop their lacrosse skills, get the rust off, and play with their friends and teammates prior to the Spring season.

The Shamrock Shootout Tournament (formerly "Lax on, Rust Off" -LORO) brings teams in grades 3 rd through 8 th grade together from across the DMV to participate in this fun one day lacrosse event.

Age group competition levels are developed to create competitive-balanced games ranging from developmental to advanced/elite.

Make sure you PARK LEGALLY as we are not responsible for any cars being towed.

Each team will be provided with reversible "Shamrock Shootout" Pinnies.

Each participant must have the necessary lacrosse equipment: goggles, mouth guard, cleats, sticks and goalie equipment. A Certified Athletic Trainer will be available at the event. If you have questions, please email us at ShamrockShootout7v7@gmail.com

2023 Tournament Rules

  1. This is a Girls Lacrosse Youth level tournament. Divisions will be separated by Grades 3-4, 5-6 and 7-8.

    Teams will be placed in the following divisions based on team’s request. Advanced, Open and Novice divisions.

    All games will be played on artificial turf.

    Fields are 30 yds. wide x 60 yds long. Registration is now open!
  2. Teams require a minimum of 12 players and MUST have a goalie. Teams are entered in the tournament on first-come, first-served basis. Teams will field 2 Attack, 3 Midfielders and 2 defenders, and 1 Goalie. (8 total) (2-3-2 formation). (Midfield restraining line)
  3. Tournament is limited to 48 teams. Reversible pinnies will be provided for each registered team.

    Entry fee is $70.00 per player.
  4. All teams will play 8 v. 8 games (7 field players, one goalie). Each team will play FOUR 25 minute games. There is a 30 minute break between games. The TOP SIX teams will play a 5th game (25 minutes) for 1st-6th place.
  5. Organizations may enter multiple teams. There will be no walk-in registrations the day of the tournament.

  7. Players are responsible for bringing all equipment: goggles, sticks, mouth guards, water, etc.
  8. Concession stand will be open at the tournament. Hoodies and t-shirts will be available for purchase the day of the tournament.
REMEMBER TO PARK LEGALLY!! YOU WILL PROBABLY GET TOWED IF YOU PARK ILLEGALLY. We encourage carpooling to maximize parking spaces. Read the signs where you park! You have been warned.
